Evolution Catering is a gourmet mobile catering service, owned and operated by local husband and wife team, Brendon and Sallyann
Stanley. Founded in 2014, the couple decided to use their 25 years experience in the hospitality industry to revolutionise the catering sector in Rockhampton and it’s surrounding areas.
Most people will have their first catering experience at a wedding or other special occasion, where food and drink are provided in abundance by a third party; a catering service. The catering service will either prepare the food on-site – with the use of the venue’s kitchen facilities, OR they will prepare the food in their commercial kitchen, and then add the finishing touches once the food has been transported to the event. The latter is often referred to as ‘mobile catering’, but is still often restricted by the location of your event or function.
Mobile catering is also associated with those greasy fast food vans that are a popular fixture at many public events because they are, essentially, a mobile kitchen. Even the smoko vans you see parked by the roadside are considered to be mobile caterers. And while these mobile catering options may not be the healthiest or most desirable choices, they are popular because they are self-reliant, and can, in theory, go where most other catering companies can’t, or won’t, go.
